Recent Commercial and Industrial Pump Projects

Booster Pump installation in factory

Our factory customer in Cambridge had an issue with low water pressure on their domestic water. The James Ball team installed a new Grundfos CMBE 3-62 Booster pump.

The main issue was supplying adequate water to the many bathrooms during heavy occupancy during shift changes. The new booster pump allowed their flush valves to keep a steady consistent pressure for proper operation.

Auto parts manufacturer benefits from new pump solution

This manufacturer had issues with clogging drain pipes due to aluminum dust created in their quality control process. The James Ball team installed a Canplas solids interceptor to alleviate the solids going into the drain line before draining into a Liberty sink pump basin. The Liberty pump then lifted the drainage water to a larger branch drain downstream. Problem solved.

We used IPEX System 15 drainage pipe and fittings, Canplas solids interceptor and a Liberty sink pump. All materials supplied by EMCO Kitchener.

Manufacturing facility pump install for water cooling

This auto parts manufacturer has a three-phase motor running a pump on their cooling tower. This delivers process water to their equipment to cool the tools during production.

The pump had failed due to lack of maintenance, and the impeller had been destroyed due to sediment and sand in the lines. The James Ball team quickly removed the pump during a shutdown, and installed blank plates on the process piping during this tight downtime. We brought the pump to a local repair shop and had the pump fully rebuilt and repaired (and even applied a fresh coat of paint). We returned the pump, installed it again with a new coupler, getting them back in action in record time.

We added value: By rebuilding the pump, we saved our customer thousands of dollars compared to buying and installing a brand new pump. Result: Happy customer!
